Language of Football: German Edition Part 1

Football is a sport that transcends geographical and cultural borders. There are many players in the elite leagues from different nationalities playing together. It is only natural that each language and country will have their own set of football terms. Here at Unorthodox Football, we try to transcend the borders by bridging the gap between football fans of different nationalities. Every week, we will feature a set of phrases used in a certain part of the world. This week, for our first edition we decided to go with German. Let’s have a look!
